Let's dive right in Whits and Weights community. Welcome to another bonus episode of the Whits and Weights podcast on this Saturday. I'm your host, phillip Pape, and I'm very excited to share something special with you today that we've been cooking up for quite a while now, and I'm just going to tell you what it is. It's the launch of my new semi private group coaching experience that is called Whits and Weights Physique University. So, yes, this will be a little bit of a sales pitch, but, more importantly, I'm going to explain why I built this, who it's for, what you can get out of it and how to get notified when it comes out. It is launching next month, in April, which is just a few short weeks away, but I'm going to have a tiered launch where those who listen to the podcast, private clients, people who really are engaged with our community have an opportunity for an early notification and a lower price for a few of those sort of VIP slots that are coming out before the price goes up a little bit for the main launch and this is all months before it publicly launches because you're going to get in on the ground floor here at a really good value but also have the chance to see the program improve and grow rapidly in the first few months. Now, I've been in this industry for about four years. I've been a coach for over two years. I've mentored and taught and led people for well over a decade and I know firsthand from my own personal transformation of trying to get strong, trying to improve my physique, improve my diet, and do it in a way that didn't feel counter to my values and my lifestyle, my way of living. It didn't feel like I was just constantly taking away and restricting and telling myself no and still having nothing to show for it, and also being discouraged when I would look in the mirror. All of those feelings that many of us can relate to. I know how overwhelming that can be and how frustrating it can be, especially when you are a go-getter. You're ambitious, you have been successful elsewhere, like you may be really good at your business or great at relationships or something else, and you have all these skills, but somehow the fitness thing hasn't quite worked out, and I think part of that is there.

Philip Pape:

Yes, there's so much conflicting misinformation out there. Right, there are so many generic workout plans, there are all the restrictive diets to get all the attention, there are all the quick fix and fad programs. There's things like Weight Watchers. There are plenty of podcasts and videos and books, and I really thank you for listening to this show and trusting me, because I know there's many voices out there and you don't know what to trust. You don't know what's based on science and what's not, whether this is good, this is bad. And through the podcast journey through Whits and Weights especially those who have been following a long time you've probably heard the evolution where we bring in experts, we uncover the science, we go back and reflect on things that have changed during that time. This is where I'm wrong, I'll admit that, and we continue to evolve together and learn, and so there's a big educational component to this. And then I take that and apply it to our Facebook community, which is a free community. I then apply it to when I have calls with people that are free and then finally bring all of that into my one-on-one coaching.

Philip Pape:

Well, the thing with one-on-one coaching is I can only help so many people. I can only help about 15 to 20 people because for me I would feel like I'm letting people down if I didn't put all my heart and soul into helping the individuals, like Coach, get unstuck, figure out their problems, understand why their metabolism is acting this way, understand why the scale is fluctuating this way, understand how to meal plan and meal prep and choose their foods and go out to eat and go traveling all the things that they face every day. I want to be very hands-on and very personal with that. But that leaves out hundreds, if not thousands, of people like you listening to this show that may not have access to my coaching, either for selectivity reasons because I can only handle so many or for price, and I'll just admit it. For price A lot of coaches don't talk about cost openly and outwardly, but if you were to look at average rates in the industry, they range anywhere from $1,000 to $1,000,000.

Philip Pape:

You know maybe the mid to high hundreds a month. You know hundred a month to maybe three or 400 a month for kind of an average coach, to maybe where I am at, which is around maybe five or 600 for what I like to think as a more effective coach, and that's why I'm able to charge that. But the problem is not everyone can afford that and it also limits the amount of people that work with me. So Whits and Weights Physique University is my attempt to bring all of the value of one-on-one coaching to a what I call semi-private group experience, where you still get a lot of touch time with me, you still get a lot of one-on-one attention, but just in a way that allows me to spread my time out across more people. And the way I'm doing that is by offering things like courses. Okay, this is the first time Whits and Weights has ever offered courses.

Philip Pape:

I'm gonna take the stuff that I talk about on the podcast and I've put it into very focused, targeted, curated courses Very short, punchy videos, right to the point, teaching you about nutrition, teaching you about training, about mindset, even right from day one you are going to get a custom nutrition plan, just like as if you were a one-on-one client. You're gonna fill out an assessment, an intake assessment and I'm gonna put together my or my team. We're gonna put together a custom plan, we're gonna give you a video that walks through the plan and then you're gonna start executing it with the support of a private community and other courses to level up your education. Now, strength training is obviously a big part of improving your physique and your body composition, and we talk about it all the time, and one of the things I've shied away from in the past was writing programs for clients, because I'm not a personal trainer, I'm a nutrition coach. But I know a lot about training. I know how to program, I know how to modify your training and also I give form checks all the time. You send me a video of your squat, I give you a video back breaking it down. Here's what we need to work on.

Philip Pape:

So I thought, well, how can I bring that value to a larger audience in this semi-private experience? And so what I'm going to start doing is offering monthly workout programs as part of Whitson-Wates Physique University. So I haven't narrowed down exactly on the different levels of workout programs, but they're probably going to be split by equipment access. So one type of program for traditional barbell training that I prefer and the other for everything else. Maybe it's dumbbells, body weight bands, those kinds of things. The other split is going to be are you more of a beginner or are you more of an intermediate? And then the third variable could be the number of days per week. I'm not sure yet, because that can get complicated. People can train three, four, five, six days a week, so I might have a couple options like a three and a four, or a three, four, five. So all of this is actually still in development because we're launching soon, but I want to make it the best it can possibly be, so you're going to have that as well.

Philip Pape:

The other thing is, because this is about physique development and you're going to have a nutrition plan, you want to be able to track your physique, and so there are a lot of bonuses you're going to get in this program. One of those that I recently put together is a body composition and biofeedback tracker. So this will not only allow you to track your circumference measurements and your biofeedback week to week, but I actually have some, a tool in there that will tell you your muscle to fat ratio. It'll tell you your lean body mass, your body fat trend all those things that people always ask about, like how do I do that? Do I have to get on an in body? Do I have to use some fancy device? No, you can do it based on some simple measurements and I've done all the math for you in a Google sheet, so you'll have that.

Philip Pape:

Another thing you're going to have in there I mentioned the courses. Okay, and these are very curated, custom design courses on specific topics that you can go right to get your answer to. But I'm also going to take the podcast, both video and audio, and I'm going to selectively pick out either full episodes or clips for specific topic areas. So as the problems and questions come up, I'm going to say, oh, you know what, this episode is perfect for that, but I'm going to make sure and put it in a course or in a module whatever language we use for the platform so that you can just go right to it, whereas you know, if you're just listening to the show, there's hundreds of episodes to choose from. It's kind of hard to find exactly what you want. This is going to curate that.

Philip Pape:

Where does the one-on-one part come in and how is this possible in a group experience? Okay, this is the beauty of it. There is going to be a private community with channels, kind of like Slack. Okay, different channels, channels for fat loss, for muscle building, for body recomp, for maintenance, for form checks, and there will also be a general announcements channel where you'll be able to check in. Every Friday I'm going to have a small questionnaire where you can check in just like as if you're a one-on-one client, and then you can tag me and I will get you some one-on-one support.

Philip Pape:

Now, this isn't to the same level as the weekly feedback, the very detailed, involved feedback I get to my private one-on-one clients. But if you are a do-it-yourselfer, if you are pretty self-motivated and I'm giving you all the resources to be successful in this program you're going to be able to get plenty of support and will always have the option to add on some extra one-on-one support if needed. But this is how you're going to get that and to compliment that. So here we go. This is as close as one-on-one as you can get in a group program like this. I'm going to have weekly live calls that you can join, where there will be some training on a specific topic, like a very niche focused topic, some Q&A and coaching. So that'll be your chance to come in with your questions, as if I'm just giving you a coaching call. And the community experience is really nice because you get to learn from everyone else's experience and level up even more.

Philip Pape:

All right, so that's a lot of what's in there, right? And I don't like to go on and on about like features, because sometimes the more important thing is what those features get you. But I did wanna let you know that there is so much information in here that it will not be on the podcast that is not in the free community. That will be again I'm using this word curated. It's kind of a snobby word, maybe that brings it all together in one place. But let me back up a bit and tell you why I created this kind of at a deeper level, at an emotional level. All right, I wanted to create a shortcut. Honestly, by shortcut I don't mean quick fix. I mean I want you to be efficient. I hate wasting time. I'm an engineer by background and I'm all about systems and automation and getting you from A to B with as little hassle as possible.

Philip Pape:

And so many of you have reached out and said you know, I'm stuck, I'm frustrated, I'm confused. Like I want this physique. I don't think I can get it, though, and I've thought that myself. I'm like, yeah, I don't think it's possible. It's my genetics, or it would be too much time in the gym or too much sacrifice with food. I'd have to eat chicken and broccoli and rice every day and I couldn't go out and enjoy myself. And even when I searched for the information, I'm bombarded with conflicting advice, with cookie cutter approaches.

Philip Pape:

Sadly, I've had so many people reach out to me that ask me a question after their own coach advised them to do something. They questioned it. The coaches gaslighting them about it like no, no, no, you just need to listen to me. And they reach out and they say you know, philip, what do you think? Does this make sense? And I look at them. I just shake my head like wow, these people are coaches. Like, come on, you know, these 22 year olds that go to get a three month cert don't know anything about life, anything about people, and I'm sorry, a 22 year old could be a great coach. I'm not disparaging that, but as someone who's been through a few more decades and seen what I've seen and worked with, most of my clients are 30s, 40s and beyond, men and women. You know, I've got hormonal changes, you've got family, you've got obligations, you've got work stress the list goes on.

Philip Pape:

There's a chasm between what the coaching industry seems to be providing and what actually works for people like you and me. The internet is full of hucksters. It's charlatans, people just trying to sell for a buck at all costs, and I'm all for entrepreneurship. I've talked about my business honestly and openly on the podcast and when I'm on other shows that I love the combination of passion and profit. Like. If you can find something that you can help people with and be passionate about like I am in this space and make money doing it because it's valuable to people, then that's a wonderful thing, that's a win-win. But there's people doing it at all costs well-meaning influencers, so-called experts, many of them with an MD or a doctor in their name and they say things that are sometimes just the opposite of the truth and they make you feel like you'll never find the right answer for you right, and so that is why I created Wits and Weights Physique University.

Philip Pape:

It's for people like you who are skeptical of the fitness industry and you don't have a lot of time to devote to hours and hours of searching or reading or, hey, listening to podcasts. Right, I've been there myself and most of the cookie cutter workout plans and the YouTube programs and the apps and the generic diets. They're just not effective. They're just too generic or they don't focus on principles, they're not rooted in science, they're not tailored to your individual needs and they're not designed to be sustainable. They're often based on short term dopamine hits and quick fixes. So what's in way to your physique university, right? Wwpu? Maybe the acronym will become well known one day.

Philip Pape:

Now I'm gonna share some more things here, if you wanna stick with me for today's bonus episode, which is kind of longer than usual. But I wanted to add some more thoughts I had about Whits and Weights Physique University, in case you have questions. So one of the first questions you might have is okay, what does the nutrition plan look like? All right, here's how it's gonna work. The day that you join, I'm gonna send you to a welcome onboarding course. This course is going to tell you exactly what to do. It's gonna give you step one, two, three Little bits of homework. You're gonna be able to track your progress and immediately reach out for support if needed.

Philip Pape:

One of the first things you're gonna do is complete an intake assessment. It's very similar to the one I use with one-on-one clients. You know, maybe it's less, it's not as long, so it won't take that long maybe 10, 15 minutes to take. And then you give us a few days because real human beings myself included in my team real expert coaches, are going to go through it and put together a personalized plan for you. That plan is going to have a nutritional periodization plan. It's gonna tell you which direction for fat loss, muscle building, how aggressive. It's going to suggest the meal timing you know, based on when you're working out and based on what your days look like. It has sections on hydration, on sleep, on stress, on supplementation pretty much everything you need where, once you've got that in your hands, if you just follow it, you're gonna get incredible results. This is not a quick fix, but it also doesn't mean you're not going to get results pretty quickly, if that makes sense. It's not a quick fix, but you can definitely start seeing change quickly. That includes the mechanics, the day-by-day stuff, like doing your workouts, logging your food, your physique measurements and implementing what you learn in the courses. The cancellation policy I mentioned before. It's going to be easy. I don't want to pull your leg. The next question is that I get from folks is okay, this is for physique, right, but what about all the other aspects of health and wellness. Another question I get is do I need access to a gym or any special equipment for the workout programs? Whether you have a fully equipped gym that you can go to or just a home gym with some basic equipment, I'm going to make it work for different levels. Then the last question people have is well, this isn't full one-on-one coaching, right? You talk about one-on-one, semi-private, like where is the cutoff If I really need more coaching or more support or more guidance. Where do I get that?

Philip Pape:

I want you to know that what's already included is massively more than most group coaching programs. The weekly live coaching calls, the supporting in the private community, the ability to tag me directly and get personalized guidance, is pretty darn close to one-on-one coaching.
